34 rue de Montmorency is a video built around one motion: the “emergence” of a graffiti, performed on the shutters of a shop by an ancient painting female restorer. This common tag, without any remarkable aspect and similar to all them which cover the city’s walls, had been recovered by the shop owner; but here it is which resurfaces, suddenly ennobled by the restorer’s motion, who has succeeded in scrubbing the covering painting layer with a solvent, making the graffiti emerge again. Against the authority, against the covering of an uncivil urban culture, praise of the vandalism.
