How can art energize urban space? Create link, not only with its physical surroundings but also and especially with the social, environmental context .

These 5 days of workshop Hors les murs, are thought as a moment of meeting with a territory and its users. A time during which we will explore the territory of the Caen peninsula and its spaces not yet urbanized and which will give us the opportunity to freely imagine a series of works that could find their place in the city to come.
While artworks are usually inserted in the city last, when the spaces have already been finalized (1% artistic in particular), this workshop proposes to reverse this process and offers students a 99% artistic. Imagining the works before the construction of the city.

Comment l’art peut-il dynamiser l’espace urbain ? Créer du lien ? Non seulement avec son contexte physique mais aussi et surtout social, environnemental.

Ces 5 jours de travail Hors les murs, sont pensés comme un moment de rencontre avec un territoire et ses usagers. Un espace temps lors duquel nous explorerons la presqu’ile de Caen et ses espaces en mutations, non encore urbaniser et qui nous donneront l’opportunité d’imaginer librement une série d’œuvres qui pourraient trouver leurs places dans la ville à venir.
Alors que les œuvres d’arts sont habituellement insérées en dernier lieu dans la ville, quand les espaces ont déjà étaient finalisé (1% artistique notamment) ce workshop propose de retourner ce processus et propose aux étudiants un 99% artistique. Imaginant les œuvres avant même la construction de la ville.
