This exhibition, which marks the culmination of Matthieu Martin’s PhD, presents a collection of unrealized artworks, each of which served as a case study during the four years of doctoral research.

These proposals raise questions about the status and essence of the work of art. Is an unfinished, abandoned or unshown project legitimate for display or presentation in an art exhibition? Is it a artwork in its own right, or merely an archive? This presentation also highlights, for the first time, the digital studies that now form an important part of the artist’s work.
